Details
We are looking for an IT Asset & Configuration Manager / CSDM Specialist within our Center of Excellence (CoE) IT Control & Service Management. In this role you manage the CMDB within our IT Service Management solution (ServiceNow). You will ensure changes to the system and its content are controlled and structured. Together with your counterpart in Asia Pacific, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the CSDM architecture within the ServiceNow platform. You will act as the point of contact for the organization regarding configuration items in the CMDB and collaborate with stakeholders across regions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all hardware assets (servers, personal computers, printers, routers, etc.), software assets (applications, databases, batch jobs & scripts, websites, cloud environments, etc.) and other services in the organization.
- Ensure proper registration of all hardware, software and services in the CMDB and further enhance it.
- Create and implement strategies for effective IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems.
- Develop and enforce ITAM policies and best practices.
- Execute operational ITAM tasks and improve/document asset management processes.
- Design, implement and maintain the ServiceNow CSDM architecture according to best practices and industry standards.
- Identify and document relationships between IT infrastructure, services, and business services so the CSDM accurately represents these relationships.
- Integrate ITAM with other ITIL processes.
- Collaborate with IT teams and individuals globally on initiatives, projects and tasks.
- Act as temporary backup for Incident or Change Manager in exceptional circumstances.

ABN AMRO Clearing is a global clearing firm providing integrated financial services (execution, clearing, financing, stock borrowing and lending, settlement and custody) and operates across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. The role is part of the Center of Excellence IT Control & Service Management inside the 1Global organization, working with Product GRID, Platform GRID and other CoEs. Work is mainly agile; collaboration with colleagues in Asia Pacific and the United States is expected.
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years working experience in an IT Service Management environment.
- 5+ years of operational IT Asset Management experience.
- 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing CSDM architectures and workflows.
- 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow (mandatory).
- Certifications required: ITIL v3/4; CITAM (Certified IT Asset Manager) or CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) or comparable; ServiceNow Implementation Specialist – Data Foundations (CMDB and CSDM) (CIS-DF (CMDB and CSDM)).
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of an organization, including senior stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in regulated/financial/IT industries and knowledge of information management, IT systems, processes and regulations is desirable.
- Willingness to collaborate globally (may occasionally require work outside EU business hours).

- Gross monthly salary between €6,072 and €8,675 (based on a 40-hour working week), including holiday allowance and a flexible benefit budget (salary scale according to Collective Labour Agreement applies).
