We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Business Control Specialist to join our Risk Management Team in the Cloud & Tech Foundations Tribe.

Responsibilities

Your focus as a Risk Champion will be on the following IT Risk capabilities:

• Pro-actively advise your colleagues in the departments about IT Risk.
• Work with other departments to establish a powerful risk-aware culture.
• Understand IT-related risk policies, aiming for simple and strong guidance.
• Challenge your colleagues about trends and developments.
• Report on IT-risk themes for risk governing bodies, establishing an integrated risk view.
• Drive IT Risk & Security Control Implementation to effectively meet business requirements.
• Engage Risk owners and delegates in the mitigation actions and plans to keep Risk within Risk Appetite.
• Negotiate to get agreements among First and Second Lines of Defenses (1LoD, 2LoD) to maintain IT Risk within Risk Appetite.
• Think out of the box aiming to leverage new technologies and ways of working.
• Ensure Team meets the timelines defined to ensure compliance is met in time.

• You are an energetic and proactive IT Risk & Security professional with a passion for securing environments and a positive, “Do it-Try it-Fix it” mentality.
• You are a natural team player who forms relationships based on social skills rather than hierarchical structure. Enhancing the IT Risk & Security controls and ultimately make ING safer is a challenge to you.
• You have a broad understanding of both technical and orange code competences with which you feel comfortable with all. You continuously strive to develop both yourself and your colleagues in the IT Risk mind-set.
• You are an ambassador for IT Risk.

Proven track record and technical skills:

• Extensive experience in both IT Security and IT Risk.
• A personality and the capabilities to optimally function within an Agile environment.
• Experience in guiding and realizing change.
• Experience/affinity with Banking is highly recommended.
• Professional and intellectual IT skills, preferably at bachelor or university level.
• A good understanding of the purpose of the different IT elements (like databases, servers, etc.) would be required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and are passionate about IT Security & IT Risk.
• Certification in and/or proven skills in Security and Risk (CISSP and CISM or CGEIT/ CRISC certification is desired to have).
• Excellent oral and written English skills.
