As an IT Security Analyst, you are in the middle of the action. You monitor IT systems, respond to attacks on the organization, and look for vulnerabilities and improvements. The role covers preventative, detective, and remediation aspects of security, demanding both technical IT security knowledge and the ability to maintain or create overviews.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and manage security incidents reported by monitoring systems, vendors, or employees.
  • Identify improvements to the security landscape and collaborate with other teams for implementation.
  • Perform change reviews and periodic reviews of security solutions such as Firewall & Endpoint detection rules, AD / CMDB, and Endpoint compliance.
  • Serve as the primary expert (champion) of at least one security tool, such as Endpoint Detection, Proxy, Firewall, DLP, or SIEM solutions.
  • Improve and maintain processes, procedures, and documentation related to the security landscape.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the security environment.

Your profile

  • At least 5 years operational experience as an IT Security Analyst or equivalent fulfilling at least 2 of the activities below:
    • Investigating and managing security incidents
    • Improving security landscape and implementing changes
    • Reviewing changes and security solutions periodically
    • Being primary expert on at least one security tool (Endpoint Detection, Proxy, Firewall, DLP, SIEM)
  • Fluency in English

Soft skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Team player with good stakeholder management skills and openness to learning
  • Continuous improvement mindset

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of NIST, PCI-DSS, CIS, GDPR, DORA, and other security/privacy frameworks
  • Understanding of Dutch language
  • Bachelor's degree in IT security or related field

We are offering

  • Role offered at level 10 (€ 5,112 - € 7,303 per month) or level 11 (€ 5,847 - € 8,353 per month) based on experience
  • Gross monthly salary for a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget
  • Benefit budget of 11% of salary, which can be paid out if unused
  • Five weeks of vacation per year with option to purchase additional four weeks
