You will play a key role in accelerating Eneco’s energy transition by building and managing partnerships with innovative technology providers and strategic partners. You will have significant influence over Eneco’s technology vendor ecosystem and operational success, guiding strategic negotiations and proposing initiatives that drive cost efficiency and maximize value for the organization. In this role (referred to internally as Senior Manager Partner Management) you will lead a team and be part of the CTO office, working closely with Eneco Tech.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the partner management strategy in alignment with business and technology objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners and suppliers at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Grow the capabilities of strategic, tactical and operational partners to maximize value for the organization.
- Manage the strategic vendor portfolio and relationships with technology partners and suppliers.
- Guide partner negotiations to ensure quality and performance of strategic partnerships.
- Propose initiatives to increase cost efficiency and maximize economies of scale in the contract portfolio.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Eneco Tech leadership and build close relationships with business directors and Eneco Tech leads.
- Set goals, monitor results, and ensure continuous development and a positive working atmosphere within the team.
- Define the scope and supervise contracting of products and services, ensuring correct execution of agreements.
- Oversee performance management, contract management, quality, compliance, and financial control for a contract portfolio of ~€100 million.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT vendor management, outsourcing, contract management, or procurement roles.
- Extensive experience managing large, complex IT outsourcing contracts (e.g., cloud, infrastructure, applications, managed services, hybrid).
- Proven knowledge of modern business technology for utilities, energy, or natural resources.
- Demonstrated people management experience (lead a team of up to 8 people), with the ability to empower and develop teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent executive stakeholder management and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Professional working proficiency in Dutch and English.
- Solid understanding of IT industry trends, legal frameworks, and compliance requirements.
What you’ll be responsible for (highlights)
- Leading a partner management team (up to 8 people) and ensuring excellence in contractual, relationship, service performance, financial, and compliance management.
- Driving negotiations and initiatives to improve cost efficiency and supplier performance.
- Managing a contract portfolio with oversight of performance and financial control (~€100 million).
Benefits
- Gross annual salary between €110,000 and €140,000 (including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on role a bonus or collective profit sharing).

- Hybrid working: 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly. With manager approval, you may work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year (max 2 consecutive weeks).
- 32 - 40 hours per week (role advertised as 32 - 40 hours).
Where you’ll work
You will work in the partner management team under the CTO office and closely with the tech department. Location: Eneco - Rotterdam (Netherlands).
