Responsibilities
- Act as a data thought partner to product and business leaders across marketplace teams by providing insights, recommendations, and enabling data-informed decisions.
- Drive day-to-day product analytics and create scalable data tools.
- Identify pain points in traveling and hosting and work with product leadership to improve experiences for guests and hosts.
- Build metrics and dimensions in data warehouse to support business decisions.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Business leads to design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests, understanding pitfalls and caveats of experimentation.
- Define measurement methods for Airbnb product and business performance through new metrics and dimensions; align with stakeholders, understand tradeoffs, and prototype metrics using custom data pipelines.
- Empower teams to answer data questions quickly and easily by building high-quality ground truth data sets and dashboards.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering and Analytics Engineering to specify logging and build data tools for broad consumption within Airbnb.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or Operations Research; Master's or PhD is a plus.
- Expert communication and collaboration skills with ability to work cross-culturally and cross-functionally.
- Ability to conduct rigorous analysis and communicate conclusions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience partnering with teams to drive action and providing expertise in analytics, data science, experimental design, and measurement.
- Experience analyzing A/B experiments and performing statistical data analysis.
- Experience designing and building metrics from conception through data pipeline prototyping.
- Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (Python or R) and SQL.
- Ability to drive data strategies by creating a central source of truth impacting business decisions.
- Knowledge and experience in insurance industry and customer experience measurement are pluses.
Benefits
- Competitive base pay range from $157,000 to $185,000 USD.
- Eligibility for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
- Flexible work environment: US remote eligible position with occasional office or offsite attendance as agreed with manager.

- This position is US - Remote Eligible, requiring residence in a state where Airbnb has a registered entity.
