Role Overview

This role supports Product and Business leaders in the Trust organization, which protects and mobilizes trust on the platform. The Trust Experience Analytics team in Global Operations facilitates data-driven decision-making across Trust Product, Operations, and Policy organizations. They focus on operational excellence and improving community experience through data-driven problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Lead data-driven product roadmap for Trust - Safety & Identity working groups.
  • Build business insights & reporting platforms to detect and mitigate fraud behaviors.
  • Perform data modeling for entities involved in Trust creation and defense to optimize user journey.
  • Define and evaluate key metrics including ML model measurement.
  • Influence data decisions through business reviews, scorecards, self-serve portals, and planning.
  • Guide experimentation and measurement strategies using causal inference and statistical models.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years in business analytics; Masters or PhD in quantitative field preferred.
  • Experience supporting trust and safety, policy, content moderation, or security teams.
  • Expert SQL skills and proficiency in at least one data analysis programming language (Python or R).
  • Knowledge of non-experimental causal inference, experimentation, and machine learning in multi-sided platforms.
  • Working knowledge of schema design and ETL frameworks like Airflow.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-growth environments with minimal supervision.

Location

This position is US-Remote eligible; occasional onsite work possible. Candidate must live in a US state where Airbnb has a registered entity (some exclusions apply).

Benefits

Base pay range $157,000—$185,000 USD. Role may be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
