We’re looking for a Data Analytics Lead to lead one of our Analytics teams within the Tech organization at Eneco. In this role you’ll be both a people manager and a senior contributor—spending around 50% of your time coaching your team and 50% directly contributing to high-impact projects. You will lead Data Analysts embedded in various Value Chains and work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and other stakeholders to shape strategy and steer execution across energy transition themes such as decarbonization, sustainable generation and system optimization.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and mentor a team of Data Analysts working across multiple digital product teams.
- Manage HR processes for the team (performance, development, salary review, promotions) and ensure a strong team culture.
- Contribute hands-on to high-impact analytics initiatives within the product teams your team supports (approx. 50% people management, 50% hands-on work).
- Collaborate with Product Managers and other Data Leaders to align on goals, ensure delivery and drive technical and non-technical growth across the team.
- Guide stakeholders in problem definition, prioritization and success measurement (OKRs, KPIs).
- Design, conduct and evaluate A/B tests to enable data-driven decisions and encourage experimentation.
- Perform occasional hands-on data work: building pipelines to transform raw data into business logic, exploratory data analysis, creating reports and dashboards, and building statistical models.
- Communicate findings clearly using storytelling and data visualization to help stakeholders make better decisions.
Requirements
- Senior or Principal-level experience as a Data Analyst, with deep hands-on skills in analytics.
- Proven track record managing a team of 4+ Data Analysts or other technical professionals.
- Experience mentoring analysts of varying levels and supporting their technical skills and career development.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, DBT and Python for analytical purposes (preferably in cloud environments such as Databricks and Snowflake).
- Experience in data visualization and dashboarding, preferably in Power BI.
- Strong ability to translate data into business value and excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation practices.
- Passion for developing people, creating clarity in complexity and accelerating the energy transition through data.
Where you'll work / Team
You’ll be part of the broader Data team within Eneco’s Tech organization—experts in analytics, data science, data engineering and machine learning. The role reports to the Senior Manager Data Science and Analytics. Your team will be embedded in two or three Value Streams (for example Customer Experience, Finance or Asset Operations) and will partner closely with (Group) Product Managers.
Benefits
- Gross annual salary between €95,000 and €145,000 (including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on role a bonus or collective profit sharing).
- FlexBudget (can be paid out, used to buy extra holiday days or save).
- Personal and professional development support.
- Hybrid working: typically 40% in the office, 40% at home, and 1 day flexible.
