Airbnb seeks a seasoned Learning Experience (LX) Content Designer to create scaled educational content that inspires and empowers Hosts across Homes, Services, and Experiences. This role blends instructional design, behavioral science, and production expertise to deliver engaging, actionable content across multiple formats — from in-product education and toolkits to workshops, short-form videos, and interactive learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of scalable learning experiences for Airbnb Hosts across formats including in-product education, workshops, toolkits, videos, interactive content, assessments, articles, and live events.
• Transform strategic briefs into tangible solutions and clear production plans; drive progress from concept to execution with rigor and clarity.
• Apply multidisciplinary design expertise across the creative production lifecycle: early sketches and prototypes through polished final assets.
• Deliver insight-driven, well-crafted educational content aligned with Airbnb’s brand and learning standards.
• Collaborate with LX strategy and production leads, host community members, and cross-functional partners in product, marketing, legal, and policy.
• Ensure educational experiences meet standards for brand consistency, instructional quality, and accessibility for a global audience.
• Design with deep understanding of how people learn to create experiences that engage, motivate, and drive meaningful action. Background in behavioral or learning sciences is a plus.
• Lead projects through full development lifecycle: set timelines, ensure quality, and coordinate stakeholders for successful implementation.
• Continuously research and inform the team about new tools, platforms, and opportunities for innovative learning at scale.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or educational content creation, preferably in tech, product, or media settings.
• Skilled in multiple instructional disciplines including curriculum design, storytelling, instructional video, short-format content, visual design, peer learning, and/or interactive experience design.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging learning content.
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering learning experiences across live, digital, and in-product channels.
• Proficient in tools such as Figma, Keynote, video editing software, UX design platforms, and CMS/LMS systems. Familiarity with generative AI tools for learning is a plus.
• Proven track record of developing and leading learning programs that drive measurable impact; experience creating scaled programs for global audiences with cultural sensitivity.
• History of delivering premium-quality creative work and collaborating with external creative partners (editors, videographers, producers, localization teams).
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Portfolio of work required for each applicant.

Location & Office Policy

• This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager.
• Candidates must live in a U.S. state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity (some states are excluded).

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range (base): $154,000 — $192,000 USD per year.
• This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits. Base pay is dependent on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
