Responsibilities

  • Lead a team designing, developing, optimizing, and validating features and bug fixes for Linux GPU Device drivers.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to understand use cases and requirements.
  • Work with engineering teams, program and product management to define the product roadmap.
  • Continuously identify improvement opportunities in processes, infrastructure, and practices for efficient team execution.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with Linux kernel and user mode device driver system software.
  • 8+ years of industry experience, including 5+ years of software engineering management of large complex system software projects.
  • Strong understanding of computer system architecture, OS principles, HW-SW interactions, and performance analysis/optimization.
  • Excellent C/C++ programming and debugging skills in Linux.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively across teams and time zones.
  • Expertise in system-level software debugging across functionality, performance, security, and scalability issues.

Ways to Stand Out

  • Experience with Linux core/display kernel and user mode device drivers.
  • Experience with Linux graphics stacks such as Vulkan/OpenGL.
  • Contribution to Linux kernel or other large open source projects.
  • Proven breadth-first design and development experience in large, cross-functional systems software.
  • Deep knowledge of system software, kernels, and embedded systems.
