NVIDIA is growing its Linux Graphics driver team and is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver driver solutions for current and future GPU designs on Linux platforms. The role focuses on architecture and development of software to support Wayland, Vulkan, and OpenGL, and includes enhancements, maintenance, and test automation to maintain driver quality.
Responsibilities
- Define, design, develop, and automate tests for state-of-the-art professional and consumer Linux Vulkan and OpenGL graphics software.
- Develop and maintain software technologies targeted at enabling and supporting NVIDIA GPU hardware on current and upcoming Linux-based operating systems.
- Ensure best performance and feature quality across cross-platform implementations.
- Collaborate with test automation teams to achieve outstanding feature quality and timely identification of regressions.
- Work with worldwide internal teams, including software, hardware, architecture, and OEM support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years hands-on experience developing graphics system-level software, especially for the Linux OS.
- 5+ years of programming experience in C and C++.
- Low-level Linux operating system knowledge, specifically memory/resource management, scheduling, and process control.
- Very good oral and written communication skills; self-motivated teammate with a good attitude.
- Familiarity with graphics stacks and GPU drivers; experience with Wayland, Vulkan and OpenGL is important.

Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary ranges provided by location and level: 136,000 USD - 212,750 USD for Level 3, and 168,000 USD - 264,500 USD for Level 4.
- You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
