This role involves dual responsibilities: building and managing a strong team focused on Advanced Analytics, including people management, knowledge development, and craftsmanship safeguarding, while also actively contributing to project delivery. The Chapter Lead oversees the capabilities and allocation of team members to meet global backlog demands from product and tribe leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop the future LLM/LLMOps skills and craftsmanship of chapter members in collaboration with Tribe and Product Leads.
- Align required capabilities and capacity with other Chapter Leads for effective delivery.
- Allocate chapter member capacity to global priorities.
- Lead and develop chapter members to meet career and organizational goals.
- Serve as an expert on Data Science craftsmanship development.
- Manage and report on team performance, set objectives, and hold members accountable.
- Participate in global backlog delivery efforts.
- Attract and retain talent through interviews and leadership.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science or similar, preferably in NLP, Information Retrieval, or Machine Learning.
- Minimum 4 years experience building NLP or Information Retrieval pipelines and models.
- Experience operationalizing LLMs or Generative AI applications.
- In-depth knowledge of algorithms such as Conditional Random Fields, Transformers, RNN, CNN.
- Management experience in Agile organizations; matrix setup experience is a plus.
- Proven track record in analytics, backlog management, and resource planning.
- Strong leadership abilities in complex, dynamic environments.
- Passion for team development and craftsmanship.
- Experience building end-to-end ML software products with NLP/IR components.
- Excellent technical and business communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum.
Nice To Have
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- NLP experience in the banking domain.
- Knowledge of DevOps, Git, CI/CD.
- Experience with CI/CD for ML pipelines (CD4ML).
- Experience with traditional ML algorithms.
