Team Description

The Ads Measurement team charter covers Signals, Identity, Attribution, Performance Measurement, Brand Suitability and 3rd party integrations. Our mission is to prove Reddit Ads value to advertisers and enable optimal performance delivery in a privacy-compliant environment. We are responsible for making sure that advertisers have confidence in the environment where the ad appears in.

The Ads Measurement Modeling team is dedicated to evaluating and improving advertising effectiveness to drive advertiser success. This team plays a critical role in building machine learning solutions that help advertisers understand the value Reddit delivers to their business.

Role description

This opportunity provides a platform for high impact and personal growth. As the Engineering Manager for Measurement Modeling, you will work on unique product and technical challenges that will put you at the forefront of next-generation ads measurement products. Your work will directly contribute to growing Reddit’s advertising business.

You will lead the team responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing machine learning models and systems to tackle complex challenges in ad signals, identity, and privacy, such as modeled conversions, probabilistic user matching, identity resolution, and utility enhancement modeling.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and long-term roadmap for Measurement Modeling, aligning cutting-edge AI solutions with Reddit’s ads product and business objectives.
• Coach and support the development of your team; grow skills and impact of machine learning engineers.
• Partner cross-functionally to identify key areas of opportunity, set expectations, and communicate the team’s work.
• Oversee design, development, and optimization of machine learning pipelines and systems, ensuring production readiness and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to plan next-generation AI-powered solutions.
• Maintain high standards for system performance, reliability, and efficiency in alignment with customer needs and responsible AI principles.
• Partner with recruiting to attract, interview, and hire diverse ML engineering talent.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building and managing high-performing machine learning teams.
• Deep hands-on experience working with machine learning models and deploying them in large-scale production systems.
• Strong understanding of deep learning, transformer-based architectures, and AI model development.
• Ability to develop and communicate a clear, compelling technical strategy that supports company objectives and internal customers.
• Impact-driven mindset with passion for scalable, well-designed, and responsible AI solutions that drive business value.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; ability to communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences and build strong cross-functional relationships.

Pay Transparency

Base pay range for this US-based position: $230,000 - $322,000 USD. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for equity (RSUs) and may be eligible for commission depending on the position offered. Final offers depend on skills, experience, and other factors.
