Role Description
ING Hubs Poland is hiring a Senior Credit Model Developer with expertise in machine learning and credit risk. The team focuses on developing non-regulatory credit risk models using advanced analytics to support safe and reasonable credit-risk decision making and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and periodically monitor credit decision models across global ING business lines and locations.
- Ensure models are conceptually sound and appropriate.
- Ensure model compliance with regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including model validators, risk managers, and business stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory guidelines related to advanced analytics models.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge of classic machine learning methods: supervised and unsupervised learning, classification, regression.
- Experience in validation or development of credit risk models in financial institutions or related industries.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to describe, articulate, and document model structure, logic, and results.
- Proficiency in Python coding; knowledge of R, SAS, or other statistical programming languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of credit risk management processes and models like credit decision scorecards, early warning systems, collection systems, IRB, IFRS9.
- English verbal and written proficiency.
Bonus Skills
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks for credit risk management (IRB, IFRS9) and lending processes.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with code versioning using Git.
