We are looking for a Fortran Compiler Engineering Manager to join NVIDIA’s HPC Compiler team building one of the world’s most important optimizing compiler products. Your work will support development and testing of compilers for high-performance computing and help drive future implementations of Fortran, OpenACC, and OpenMP. This role requires both traditional software management skills and a dedication to the success of our end users. You will lead teams working on compiler technology for Fortran, OpenMP, and OpenACC, optimizers, and LLVM code generation.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of experienced compiler engineers.
- Establish team objectives to meet schedules and goals.
- Act as a mentor and advisor to grow the next generation of leaders.
- Establish and evolve policies and procedures that affect the immediate organization.
- Communicate with senior management for team vision and development.
- Work with customers, standards bodies, and open-source communities.
- Support development and testing of compilers, optimizers, and LLVM code generation for HPC domains.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, ECE, or equivalent experience (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred).
- 10+ years overall software engineering experience with at least 4 years of hands-on management.
- Strong software design fundamentals and a deep understanding of compilers and programming languages.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles.
Ways to stand out
- Contributions to LLVM or other open-source projects.
- Familiarity with Fortran, C++, OpenMP, and OpenACC standards.
- Knowledge of compiler internals from front end to run-time environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD (final base salary determined by location, experience, and comparable employees).
