Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, Coinbase is seeking a candidate who is passionate about the mission and blockchain/crypto, who thrives on high standards, seeks feedback, and tackles hard problems. The company is remote-first but not remote-only — in-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites.

The Coinbase Compliance Testing and Assurance (CTA) function is an independent oversight function responsible for planning and executing testing and monitoring activities to assess whether processes and controls supporting the compliance framework are designed and operating effectively. The CTA team maintains global policy and procedures for CTA activity enterprise-wide, covering US and international entities, and collaborates with Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, and business functions.

The CTA Manager will support the CTA Senior Manager in developing, managing, executing, and improving the CTA program, focusing on processes and controls for international entities and enterprise-wide processes for both US and international entities.

  • Perform and manage assigned CTA activities across planning, execution, reporting, and issue remediation; provide escalation as needed.
  • Prepare reports on CTA activity results and partner with stakeholders on root cause analysis and remediation plans.
  • Maintain issues and remediation documentation in a central repository.
  • Track and validate remediation plan implementation submitted by issue owners.
  • Participate in training and awareness materials related to the CTA program as needed.
  • Stay current on regulatory developments and industry events to identify trends and emerging risks impacting Coinbase products and the CTA program.
  • Conduct other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient in PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated, analytical, organized, innovative, adaptive, team-oriented, and a self-starter.
  • Good presentation and multi-tasking skills; ability to work collaboratively with global partners across functions.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours to meet deadlines when necessary and ability to work with limited direction from management.
  • BA/BS degree in business, finance, or a related field.
