Information about the position

As part of the Vinted Go Business finance control team you will be responsible for driving Vinted Go Business Finance Control team’s strategy and roadmap. Helping to analyze and provide insights on financial performance and acting as a bridge between meeting product stakeholder needs and ensuring financial compliance and adequate controls. As manager you will ensure that the company and team objectives are achieved through the tasks performed and nurture the personal and professional development of the team members, while living Vinted values of ownership, co-creation, caring, aiming high and growth.

This is a two-year fixed-term contract.

In this position, you’ll

  • Lead a team of 3 analysts.
  • Track teams performance, plan resources, effectively coordinate workload and tasks.
  • Work closely with VGo business regarding strategic plans, developments and controls.
  • Be responsible for controllership over accounting data/processes/ and treatment.
  • Be responsible for the reporting and compliance of the standalone and group shipping result as well as presenting analysis and comments on performance for various stakeholders.
  • Together with the Director of Business Finance Control work on preparing a strategic plan for the team's development and processes improvements.
  • Represent finance in various Vinted Product projects concerning shipping developments.
  • Communicate across teams/departments where needed to align different projects/needs/priorities and raise discussions for essential processes review that impact the shipping business finance side.
  • Communicate with external stakeholders for ad hoc queries requiring a higher level of diplomacy and problem solving skills.

About you

  • At least 7 years of experience in the finance or related field of which at least 2 years in a leading role
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business or Accounting
  • Strong team management skills
  • Experience working with large and complex data sets, reporting as well as identifying risks and creating mitigating control environments
  • Experience in working with large projects at fast moving pace
  • Interest in a multi-jurisdictional aspect of the finance role
  • Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Passion for technology-driven businesses
