Role Overview

This role is for a Product Designer Manager passionate about crypto and blockchain technology. The Platform Design and Research team leads product execution across Coinbase, focusing on secure and user-friendly cryptocurrency products for a diverse user base from beginners to advanced.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Product Designers, managing 3+ designers.
• Identify blockers, opportunities and improvements for the team's product area.
• Engage in all project phases from planning through retrospectives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive product vision and strategy.
  -Define user experience for critical customer journeys.
• Mentor and help grow other designers.
• Implement design working processes.
• Organize and document multiple projects and team activities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience leading a team of 3+ designers.
• Strong mentorship and management skills.
• Experience setting creative direction for consumer-facing web and mobile products.
• Excellence in UX thinking, visual design, and written communication.
• Systems thinking with experience designing at scale.
• Collaborative experience working with designers, engineers, user researchers, and product teams.
• Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools.
• Experience driving user research studies.
• Low ego, collaborative, open-minded personality.
• Ability to simplify complexity and create order from uncertainty.

• Experience designing onboarding, profile, and accounts management features.

Compensation

• Target annual salary range between $207,485 and $244,100 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
