Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company whose products are used for observability and visualization across metrics, logs and traces. The company develops Grafana (visualization), Grafana Cloud (managed), Grafana Enterprise (self-managed), Grafana Mimir (metrics), Grafana Loki (logs) and Grafana Tempo (traces). This role is the Manager of Solutions Engineering for the SEMEA region and is responsible for building and managing a high-performing team of Solution Engineers, partnering with Sales, Customer Experience, Product and Engineering to drive adoption and customer success, and influencing product roadmap based on customer and team feedback.

Location: Spain (Remote). English fluency required; additional European language preferred. Role requires working with sales leaders and Customer Experience to drive adoption of OSS and commercial/cloud products and to hit regional financial targets.

Responsibilities

  • Attract, recruit, ramp and mentor a team of Presales Solution Engineers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Provide servant-based leadership and a player/coach approach balancing field responsibilities with team needs.
  • Own regional planning, actions and outcomes in partnership with leadership.
  • Partner with Benelux / NEMEA Sales leadership on customer programs, marketing initiatives and events to drive adoption and expansion.
  • Provide executive sponsorship of key accounts and act as a thought partner for customers within EMEA.
  • Understand customer strategies for adoption of Grafana technologies and develop programs and collateral to enable success.
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to ensure customer requirements are met and to influence roadmap using data-driven analysis of wins/losses and customer needs.
  • Own and report on quarterly cadence while supporting evaluations via demonstrations, technical deep dives, trials and POVs.
  • Drive enablement and sell-with / sell-through channel partners (RSIs and GSIs) at local, geo and global levels.

Requirements

  • Some experience leading a team; 5–10 years in the high-tech industry with roles such as Developer, Architect, Sales Engineer/Architect, Manager, etc.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, high-growth, remote-first startup environment.
  • Track record of mentoring, developing people and managing performance over time.
  • Experience with Open Source selling or Cloud-first / Product-led sales is a plus.
  • Direct experience implementing or executing formal sales methodologies (e.g., COM, Value Selling, MEDDPICC).
  • Direct experience selling monitoring, data or visualization products.
  • Proven ability to own a book of business and drive your own and your team's work to exceed quarterly targets.
  • English fluency required; a second European language is preferred.
  • Located in Spain.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Spain OTE compensation range: EUR 119,000 - EUR 142,000 (actual compensation may vary by level, experience and skillset).
