NVIDIA is seeking a Systems Software Engineering Manager to drive continued innovation and development of enterprise AI products, including multimodal ingestion, retrieval systems, data curation pipelines, and agentic applications. The ideal candidate has a strong background in large data applications, sophisticated pipeline architecture, generative AI, and traditional machine learning experience; demonstrated leadership of applied research and development teams; and a shown ability to convert proof-of-concept applications into products.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, develop, and implement agentic AI blueprints (applications) that show enterprises how to deploy this technology.
  • Lead an applied research and development team focused on agentic AI blueprints.
  • Define success and evaluation criteria, including reproducible workflows and datasets.
  • Ensure the applications meet the highest standards for quality, robustness, and composability.
  • Collaborate with NVIDIA product teams and external partners on these applications, ensuring that we build what is most applicable to a wide audience.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship across teams, projects, and internal groups.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering or system architecture with a strong focus on Python, C++, or Go development.
  • 3+ years of experience as a leader/manager of a multi-functional team, providing sustainable professional development, growth, and technical mentorship.
  • Experience providing technical leadership to a team developing data pipelines, generative AI applications, and machine learning applications, with a focus on performance and accuracy.
  • Self-starter with excellent collaboration skills and a history of working with cross-disciplinary teams, including research and production.
  • Strong desire to work on the cutting edge of technology while quickly learning and applying new technologies and libraries.

Ways to stand out from the crowd

  • Additional graduate coursework in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Demonstrable success in creating end-to-end AI applications with clear business improvements and metrics.
  • Demonstrated history of contributing to and building open-source software projects that address real enterprise challenges.
  • Shown success in developing generative AI or agentic AI applications as proof-of-concepts.
  • Consistent record architecting enterprise applications, including those that operate on data at scale or process data through complex model ensembles.
  • A passion to lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
  • Base salary ranges provided:
    • Level 3: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
    • Level 4: 272,000 USD - 425,500 USD
  • Eligible for equity and benefits (see NVIDIA benefits page).
