The MDG Hub Project Manager is accountable for leading the end-to-end implementation of the MDG Hub for the New ERP – BTL on RISE programme. This contractor role acts as the customer-side project manager for the MDG Hub scope, working closely with E&Y as the implementation partner / SI to define, plan and manage delivery from initiation through design, build, testing, cutover and handover into the live operating model. A critical part of the role is to establish a clear Project Brief, define objectives, scope, team structure, delivery approach and target operating model, align stakeholders, and drive execution with governance, reporting and RAID management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project initiation and mobilisation: create the Project Brief (objectives, scope, success measures, assumptions, dependencies, timeline), define team structure/roles and establish delivery approach and governance aligned with the wider programme.
  • Define scope, objectives and target operating model for MDG Hub, including master data domains, governance, workflows, interfaces and adoption impacts.
  • Plan and manage full implementation: ensure SI (E&Y) produces credible delivery plans for design, build, configuration, testing, cutover, hypercare and handover; review and align plans with stakeholders and programme milestones.
  • Stakeholder management: build relationships with Master Data Governance, Integration, Functional Workstreams, Data Migration, E&Y delivery leads; facilitate alignment on scope, sequencing, ownership and readiness.
  • Governance, reporting and RAID management: own project status reporting into the wider BTL programme cadence, maintain and manage RAID log, run governance, decision tracking and escalation.
  • Delivery quality and dependency management: ensure deliverables are high quality, manage dependencies across MDG, S/4HANA design, integration, migration, testing and deployment; track milestones and drive recovery actions when needed.
  • Testing, cutover and readiness: coordinate SIT, E2E testing, UAT, cutover and go-live readiness with Testing, Data Migration, Integration and Functional leads; support transition into live operations.
  • Documentation and control: ensure creation and maintenance of Project Brief, scope and milestone plan, team structure/RACI, RAID log, status reports, decision log and operating model documentation.
