The NVIDIA Ignite program is a 12-week summer pre-internship designed for current first- and second-year undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience working with technical experts on real projects. This inclusive, immersive program covers NVIDIA products, culture, and ecosystem. Submissions are accepted October 6, 2025 to October 19, 2025, and applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

The internship is located on-site in Santa Clara, CA. NVIDIA will cover one-time round-trip travel for students traveling over 50 miles to Santa Clara and will provide a supplemental housing stipend to assist with living expenses over the summer.

Responsibilities

  • Work on real technical projects under mentorship from experienced engineers.
  • Contribute to software development, testing, and debugging in your assigned team area (examples: AI/ML, embedded systems, GPU software, system software, robotics, etc.).
  • Participate in the program’s immersive activities to learn about NVIDIA products and engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to deliver project goals over the 12-week internship.

Requirements

  • Current first-year (class of 2029) or second-year (class of 2028) undergraduate pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a four-year U.S. university in CS, CE, EE, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Enrolled in courses in computing and engineering, specifically geared toward software basics.
  • Basic knowledge of one or more programming languages: C, C++, Python, Perl, MATLAB.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch or other ML frameworks.
  • Creativity, problem-solving mentality, willingness to develop new skills, and adaptability to new experiences.
  • Desire to learn new concepts and tools in a growing and evolving workspace.

  • Demonstrated initiative to learn about technology, computers, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, or parallel computing.
