NVIDIA offers 12-week, full-time internships within its Autonomous Vehicles and Robotics teams. Interns work on projects with measurable business impact and are expected to be strategic, ambitious, hard-working, and creative. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities
Autonomous Vehicles (possible internship tasks):
- Develop and train state-of-the-art deep neural networks for path generation.
- Collect training datasets and measure real-time inference run-times using simulators/gyms and perform in-vehicle tests.
- Course or internship experience related to Computer Vision, Mapping, Localization, SLAM, Image Processing, Segmentation may be required.
Robotics (possible internship tasks):
- Build fundamental infrastructure and software platforms that power robots and applications built with Isaac.
- Work at the core of the software system (infrastructure, platform-level software).
- Course or internship experience related to Robotics, Autonomous Vehicles, Validation Frameworks for Deep Learning, Operating Systems and Data Structures (threads, processes, memory, synchronization), Physics Simulation, Simulators, Computer Graphics, Version Control, Computer Vision, Cloud Technologies may be required.
Requirements
- Must be actively enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field for the entire duration of the internship.
- Depending on the internship role, prior experience or knowledge could include programming skills and technologies such as: C, C++, CUDA, ROS, Python, OpenGL, Linux, sensor input devices (LiDAR, cameras, radars), and training frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).
- Relevant coursework or internship experience in areas like Computer Vision, Mapping, Localization, SLAM, Image Processing, Segmentation, Robotics, Operating Systems, Data Structures, Physics Simulation, Simulators, Computer Graphics, Version Control, and Cloud Technologies is beneficial.
Compensation and Hours
- Intern hourly rate: 20 USD - 71 USD per hour (standard pay varies by position, location, year in school, degree, and experience).
- The internship is a full-time, 12-week position. Standard full-time hours are used for pay calculations.
Benefits
- Interns are eligible for NVIDIA intern benefits and student resources provided by the company.
Other information
- Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
- NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in hiring and promotion practices.
