ING Americas Tech supports internal and external customers by combining technical expertise with business knowledge, focusing on Americas Wholesale Banking such as Financial Markets and Lending & Capital Markets.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, support, and operate the in-house developed IPA service consisting of components like the in-memory Trade Store (Java, Apache Ignite, Linux, distributed systems architecture), Calculation/Risk Engine, Static Data Manager, workflow Orchestrator, and Post Processing application.
  • Manage incidents and conduct root cause analysis for availability and data quality issues, communicating directly with users (Traders, Credit/Market Risk Managers) globally.
  • Implement and utilize latest tools emphasizing performance, stability, and security.
  • Automate testing of features, performance, security, deployments, and monitoring.
  • Ensure IT Risk & security controls are in place and documented according to ING Information Security Management Policy.
  • Perform continuous deployment and delivery using Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams to deliver new sprint releases every 2-4 weeks.
  • Occasional travel abroad (Amsterdam / Brussels).

Requirements

  • Knowledge of CI/CD and experience with Git, Python, Ansible, Shell scripting, and JVM-based applications.
  • Strong Linux skills (RedHat Enterprise Linux 7 or 8).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools like Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus (alerting), and ELK Stack.
  • Experience with tools like Confluence, ServiceNow, Checkmarx.
  • Understanding of IT Risk & Security concepts.
  • IT Operations/support experience including functional support to end users and analytical skills for root cause identification.
  • Customer-focused and proactive with good teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills in multicultural environments.
