The Backend department uses modern and innovative technologies to create our world-leading cybersecurity products. We have squads that work towards different goals, but we are mainly known as driven professionals writing quality code.

Responsibilities

  • Expand and improve the codebase by writing clean, quality PHP code supported by automated tests.
  • Contribute to technical design decisions and create APIs that developers enjoy using.
  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver fully functional features and code-based solutions for the product.
  • Refactor, improve, and maintain the existing code base while adding new functionality.
  • Provide technical mentorship to other team members and advocate for good coding practices, continuous delivery, and technical excellence.
  • Initiate and champion new technologies and development processes to enhance team capabilities.
  • Participate in task grooming, defining and breaking down work into manageable tasks.
  • Unify workflows, frameworks, and practices across teams to streamline operations.

Requirements

  • At least 4+ years of experience working with PHP with fluency in Symfony.
  • Good understanding of OOP principles and clean code design.
  • Previous experience in building highly scalable systems.
  • Experience working in microservices architectures.
  • Experience of REST API design and (My)SQL practices, including handling large quantities of data.
  • Familiarity with Docker, RabbitMQ, Redis, and version control using Git.

Bonus Points

  • Previous experience (+1 year) as a technical lead.
  • Good knowledge of plain PHP.
  • Knowledge of time-series databases.
