Responsibilities

  • Expand and improve the codebase by writing clean, quality PHP code supported by automated tests
  • Contribute to technical design decisions
  • Create APIs that developers truly enjoy using
  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver fully functional features and quality code-based solutions for the product
  • Refactor, improve, and maintain the existing code base while adding new functionality
  • Provide technical mentorship to other team members, helping them grow their skills
  • Advocate for good coding practices, continuous delivery, and technical excellence
  • Initiate and champion new technologies and development processes to enhance team capabilities
  • Participate in task grooming, defining and breaking down work into manageable tasks
  • Unify workflows, frameworks, and practices across teams to streamline operations

Requirements

  • At least 4+ years of experience working with PHP with fluency in Symfony
  • Good understanding of OOP principles and clean code design
  • Previous experience in building highly scalable systems
  • Experience working in microservices architectures
  • Experience with REST API design and (My)SQL practices, including handling large data volumes
  • Familiarity with Docker, RabbitMQ, Redis, and version control using Git

Bonus / Nice-to-have

  • Previous experience (+1 year) as a technical lead
  • Good knowledge of plain PHP
  • Knowledge of time-series databases
