The strategic finance and analytics team focuses on driving meaningful impact on guest and host growth through financial analysis, impact assessment, performance measurement, insights, and reporting of large-scale initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance partnership with the North America Global Markets team to drive growth, planning, and strategy.
• Partner with the business on performance management, including development and ongoing analysis of KPIs, creating goals/OKRs, and measuring performance.
• Develop a deep understanding of growth and efficiency levers and translate them into tangible improvements.
• Support resource-allocation strategy across the region and functions and consolidate a regional perspective for cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain reporting and analytical frameworks to support key processes (annual strategic planning, long-range planning).
• Partner on rigorous business plans and go-to-market strategy; translate insights into action with leadership.
• Identify step-change opportunities via quantitative analysis, industry benchmarks, and competitive research and convert them into actionable strategies.
• Serve as subject matter expert on key trends and market dynamics for the North America business; deaverage problems to find granular issues and propose novel solutions.
• Conduct analytical deep dives across United States and Canada; independently lead data extraction, analysis, visualization, and presentation.
• Build ad hoc reporting to help business operations and cross-functional partners understand KPI drivers.

Requirements / Your Expertise

• 10+ years of relevant experience in roles such as strategic finance, strategy/management consulting, investment banking, financial planning & analytics, banking, or private equity.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, accounting, engineering, statistics, or other quantitative field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
• Superb financial modeling skills and extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL or some other querying language; comfortable manipulating large datasets and synthesizing complex information.
• Strong experience with Excel and financial modeling; willingness to gather internal and external data to build comprehensive business cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create polished, insightful recommendations for senior audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally (Business Operations, Product, Data Science, Research, Marketing, Engineering) and drive change in a fluid environment.
• Strong analytical abilities with comfort absorbing large amounts of data and qualitative insights to develop narratives and recommendations.
• Grit, high energy, ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple projects.
• Experience in marketplace and/or travel and hospitality metrics is a plus.

Location

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager. You must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay range: $164,000—$202,500 USD.
• This role may be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits. The actual base pay is dependent on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
