NVIDIA Enterprise Network Architecture team is seeking experienced candidates in the domain of network architecture and engineering. This is a hands-on architecture position focused on the development and deployment of ultra-high-speed, resilient, and scalable interconnects for GPU-accelerated data centers and compute clusters. Strong problem-solving abilities and a comprehensive understanding of network security protocols & standards, routing, switching, automation, and fundamental network theory are critical to success at NVIDIA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of global-scale backbone and fabric for HPC, AI, and GPU computing clusters.
  • Develop high-performance data center fabric using InfiniBand, high-throughput Ethernet, and related technologies.
  • Optimize carrier interconnects, backbone routing, and dark fiber deployments to ensure low latency and high reliability.
  • Partner with system, OS, GPU, and HPC teams to deliver scalable, highly available networks for extreme-performance workloads.
  • Implement network monitoring, telemetry, troubleshooting, and continuous performance improvement processes.
  • Drive technology selection, vendor engagement, and lifecycle management for backbone networking hardware and software.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and reliability across all backbone components to support sensitive compute loads and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal product managers to develop "NVIDIA on NVIDIA" solutions.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of experience building, managing, and supporting large-scale hybrid networks and developing automation pipelines using Python, Ruby, Go, or other infrastructure automation languages.
  • Expertise in networking technologies: TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP/MP-BGP, VPN, L2 switching, EVPN, VxLAN, Segment Routing, MPLS, IS-IS, DWDM.
  • Experience with InfiniBand and high-throughput Ethernet for data center fabrics.
  • Experience automating SDN/NFV/NFVI infrastructure.
  • Experience using automated configuration management and infrastructure tooling (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of network security protocols, compliance, and best practices for sensitive compute workloads.
  • Experience implementing monitoring and telemetry systems for continuous network performance improvements.

Compensation

  • Base salary range: 248,000 USD - 391,000 USD (final base salary determined by location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions).
