Details

NVIDIA's applied AI team for chip design is building agentic systems that reason, plan, call tools and code like human engineers. This role focuses on designing, building, and operating the core infrastructure and large-scale agent frameworks that power agentic tools and applications for chip design. You will work closely with researchers and engineering teams to scale agentic solutions for production, optimize performance, and ensure secure and reliable data management.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy large-scale, high-performance, enterprise-ready agent frameworks and tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering and applied AI teams to understand chip design needs and ensure the agent platform meets those requirements.
  • Develop and optimize retrieval and generation algorithms for enterprise data (text, code, images) to build advanced AI applications.
  • Collect, organize, and manage training / fine-tuning data and help build domain-specific large language models.
  • Optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and secure data management.
  • Stay current with machine learning and AI research to implement state-of-the-art solutions.
  • Lead engineering practices, mentor others, and maintain high-quality engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 15+ years of proven industry experience.
  • Proven ability to take products from concept to launch and scale them massively, including performance tuning of globally distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with modern software development stacks and tools: containerization, cloud or on-premises deployments, API integration, and real-time processing frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, message broker architectures, data pipelines, and test-driven development.
  • Proficiency with agentic LLM libraries/technologies (examples listed): LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, RAGs, vector databases, prompt engineering, Knowledge Graphs.
  • Hands-on experience developing large-scale web applications and REST APIs; familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach and willingness to learn new skills as needed.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with front-end development using React or Vue.js.

Benefits

  • Base salary range: 272,000 USD - 425,500 USD (determined by location, experience, and comparable pay).
  • Eligible for equity and additional benefits (see NVIDIA benefits page).
  • NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
