As a Principal Software Engineer within the Developer Experience Software Engineering team, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of solutions that propel NVIDIA's internal products forward. Your technical expertise will influence the direction of AI Inference Services, Agentic AI frameworks, and Engineering Apps. By merging business acumen with technical prowess, you will create enterprise-level solutions that elevate NVIDIA's global operations.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the design, development, and adoption of exceptionally complex, company-wide software projects, driving transformative business outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to establish and implement technology strategies, aligning with NVIDIA's objectives in Developer Experience.
• Provide technical leadership and guide cross-functional teams in developing innovative, potentially patent-worthy solutions.
• Define project scopes, manage resources, and ensure seamless execution; mitigate risks and optimize outcomes.
• Develop and maintain broad, company-wide influence, driving adoption of new technologies and processes.
• Contribute to the creation of technical roadmaps for internal products and Enterprise AI services.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, other Engineering or related fields (or equivalent experience).
• 15+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of leading complex, high-impact projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in crafting and developing scalable, secure, and innovative software solutions.
• Demonstrated use of AI for coding, designing, planning and execution.
• Strong business insight, combining technical and business viewpoints to achieve strategic results.
• Excellent leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
• Experience with multiple programming languages; proficiency in at least one of: JavaScript, React, NodeJS, or Python.
• Familiarity with Gen AI and Agentic AI.
• Background with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).

• A proven history of developing patent-worthy, innovative solutions that drove significant business impact for developers and engineering organizations.
• Experience leading company-wide technology strategies and influencing organizational direction.
• Expertise in technologies such as LLMs, AI Inference, AI Agents, bug tracking, POR planning and AI-assisted development.
• A strong portfolio of technical publications, conference presentations, or open-source contributions.
• Prior experience in a similar senior technical leadership role with deep understanding of driving transformative change.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: 248,000 USD - 391,000 USD (determined based on location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions).
