Details

NVIDIA is hiring a Principal Cloud Software Engineer to join the Graphics Delivery Network (GDN) team. GDN is a platform that lets developers stream applications to users using the GeForce NOW infrastructure. The team is expanding GDN to combine AI and provide interactive experiences. This role spans cloud services, Kubernetes-based solutions, and system-level integration with graphics runtimes and engines.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, plan, implement, and operate cloud services related to video technologies and streaming.
  • Collaborate on system and runtime integration across Vulkan/Proton and video streaming teams.
  • Work with game and application developers and internal platform/performance teams for optimizations in Unreal.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach by supporting, maintaining, and detailing software functionality.
  • Drive pragmatic technical discussions and deliver clean, reusable, testable, and extensible solutions.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with 15+ years of hands-on experience building complex services.
  • Expertise in Go (Golang) and experience working with cloud services; experience designing and implementing high-scale, reliable systems.
  • Deep understanding of HTTP/REST APIs, gRPC, security, and networking; strong API development sensibilities (UX/UI/CLI considerations).
  • Experience operating and integrating Kubernetes-based solutions and working with Docker.
  • Experience integrating system-level dependencies such as Vulkan, Windows/Direct3D, and working with Unreal Engine.
  • Strong debugging skills and experience collaborating with DevSecOps, SRE, or equivalent operations teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have / Ways to Stand Out

  • Experience in the game industry with Unreal Engine.
  • Experience or familiarity with Java and Spring Boot, Gatling, Python.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, DynamoDB, and Redis.
  • Experience with performance/load testing and distributed system performance optimization.

Compensation and Additional Details

  • Base salary range: 272,000 USD - 425,500 USD (determined by location, experience, and internal pay equity).
