We are seeking a Principal System Software Engineer, Cloud Networking and Performance, to develop massively scalable and performant Software-Defined Networking (SDN) for the NVIDIA AI Factory software stack.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize next-generation horizontally scalable, highly performant multi-tenant network architecture with security in mind to support data center and AI Factory infrastructure at massive scale.
- Implement SDN software as part of the broader NVIDIA software stack for AI Factory, collaborating closely with compute, storage, and other teams.
- Design and develop open-source software (OSS) for monitoring overall network health, performance, and scalability, including intelligence for tracking and regulating tenant usage, analyzing usage, and taking appropriate actions.
- Work with large-scale network setups and device (switches/routers, etc.) configurations and integrate with network management and monitoring systems.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of validated experience in networking disciplines.
- Strong background in Kubernetes (K8s) and networking performance.
- Deep understanding of various networking protocols with hands-on development experience.
- Experience in crafting network architecture for cloud/distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale network setups, device configurations, network management systems, network monitoring systems, or network operations.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with OVS, OVN, and the OVN-K8s CNCF upstream project.
- Hands-on experience with software for SR-IOV.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: 272,000 USD - 431,250 USD (base salary determined by location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions).
- You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
