About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the Team
Stripe’s Investor Partnerships team manages relationships with Europe’s leading investment firms, spanning early-stage ventures to global private equity sponsors. Our mandate is to become a trusted strategic partner to investors and their portfolio companies by helping them modernize financial infrastructure, expand into new markets, and accelerate growth. Within this team, the Private Equity Partnerships Lead, EMEA will focus exclusively on Stripe’s engagement with top-tier private equity firms, working closely with their operating and value-creation teams to drive portfolio-wide impact.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver Stripe’s private equity strategy across EMEA. You will own senior relationships with top PE firms, collaborating with their value-creation and operating teams to scale Stripe adoption across portfolio companies. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams at Stripe to design portfolio-wide initiatives, advise PE sponsors on payments and monetization strategies, and represent Stripe in the financial sponsor ecosystem. By doing so, you will help accelerate growth for both Stripe and the portfolio companies of Europe’s most influential private equity firms.
Responsibilities
- Develop partner-level relationships with top private equity firms and drive consistent engagement with their portfolio companies through consultative strategic planning and collaboration.
- Lead coordination across Stripe, in partnership with the sales team, to facilitate sponsor-related opportunities and work alongside account executives to ensure successful outcomes.
- Develop and execute both scaled and high-touch engagements, including digital activations and in-person events.
- Work cross-functionally and efficiently navigate Stripe to establish, monitor, and publish performance metrics and industry insights.
- Monitor the industry and regulatory landscape to provide input into Stripe’s product roadmap and broader corporate strategy.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, communications, product, finance, and operations teams to drive the success of the PE program.
- Represent Stripe in the financial sponsor ecosystem, including speaking at industry events and sponsor convenings.
- Advise private equity firms on investment opportunities and payments monetization across portfolios.
- Educate financial sponsors on Stripe’s product suite, roadmap, and long-term vision for the future of financial infrastructure and money movement.
Who You Are
You are a strategic thinker and relationship builder who thrives in complex ecosystems. You have a proven ability to build trust with senior executives and operating teams at private equity firms, and you know how to translate their priorities into scalable partnership strategies. You’re equally comfortable setting vision and rolling up your sleeves to deliver, and you can navigate ambiguity while maintaining high standards for yourself and those around you. You work collaboratively across functions but are confident operating independently, communicating with candor, and influencing senior stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or strategic partnerships, with a record of top performance.
- 5+ years of experience working with senior C-level executives.
- 3+ years of experience using analytics or metrics to drive commercial outcomes for both the business and its customers or partners.
Preferred Qualification
- Experience working at a private equity firm, investment organization, or in a value-creation / portfolio support function.
- Exceptional relationship-building ability with strong attention to detail to cultivate partnerships and oversee programs at scale.
- Ability to manage cross-functional projects and multitask with excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of investment terminology and industry performance metrics.
- Financial modeling experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both internal and external.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
