Product Designer II - Consumer Trading

Join Coinbase's Advanced Trading Design Team to help build a best-in-class trading platform for professional and advanced traders. This role focuses on designing core advanced experiences across web and mobile, collaborating closely with product, engineering, research, and marketing. Coinbase is remote-first but not remote-only; in-person participation (team and company offsites) is required throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Iteratively improve user experience while working in a small team
• Take features from ideation to prototype, user testing, and production
• Design web and mobile experiences that are simple and intuitive
• Participate in regular design reviews and incorporate feedback
• Execute on the product roadmap and contribute to product strategy
• Collaborate daily with Engineering, User Research, and Product

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Product Design experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Experience designing consumer-facing experiences for web and mobile
• Excellence in UX thinking, visual design, and written communication
• Experience working collaboratively with engineers, user researchers, and product teams
• Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools
• Low ego, collaborative, and open-minded approach to design

Nice to haves

• Interest in crypto or financial products
• User of Coinbase products
• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services

Pay & Compensation

• Target annual salary range: $144,500 — $170,000 USD
• Full-time offers may also include target bonus, target equity, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k))

Interview process & AI disclosure

• For select roles, Coinbase may pilot AI tools for initial screening interviews (voice recording/transcript) and tools to transcribe/summarize interview notes. A human recruiter/interviewer will review outputs. These pilots will not be used to make final employment decisions.
