Product Designer II - Consumer Trading

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. The Advanced Trading Design Team builds a best-in-class trading platform for professional and advanced traders. This role focuses on the core advanced trading experience, working closely with product, research, marketing, and engineering to design high-quality web and mobile experiences for advanced traders globally.

Responsibilities

• Work in a small team to iteratively improve user experience.
• Take new features from ideation to prototyping, user testing, and production.
• Design web and mobile experiences that are simple and intuitive.
• Participate in regular design reviews; seek and incorporate feedback.
• Execute on the product roadmap and help define product strategy.
• Collaborate daily with Engineering, User Research, and Product.
• Attend team and company-wide offsites and in-person participation throughout the year (remote-first but not remote-only).

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional product design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience designing consumer-facing experiences for web and mobile.
• Excellence in UX thinking, visual design, and written communication.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment with engineers, user researchers, and product teams.
• Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools.
• Low ego, collaborative, and open minded.

Nice to Haves

• Interest in crypto or financial products.
• Experience using Coinbase products.
• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.

Compensation & Additional Information

• Pay Range: $144,500—$170,000 USD (target annual salary; full-time offers also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
