To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a candidate who is passionate about crypto and blockchain technology and who wants to design high-quality experiences that enable advanced traders globally. This role focuses on building decentralized exchange (DEX) trading capabilities and will involve close collaboration with product, research, marketing, and engineering to design web and mobile experiences for trading (buy, sell, convert) within Coinbase's flagship application.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a small team to iteratively improve user experience
  • Take new features from ideation, to prototyping, to user testing, to production
  • Design web and mobile experiences that are simple and intuitive
  • Participate in regular design reviews, seek specific feedback, and incorporate relevant feedback
  • Execute on the product roadmap and help define product strategy
  • Collaborate daily with Engineering, User Research, and Product

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional Product Design experience, including consumer-facing mobile experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience designing consumer-facing experiences for web and mobile
  • Excellence in UX thinking, visual design, and written communication
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment with engineers, user researchers, and product teams
  • Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools
  • Low ego, collaborative, and open minded

Nice to Haves

  • Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services
  • Answers to crypto-related questions may be used to evaluate your onchain experience

Work Model

  • While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

Pay Transparency Notice

The target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility + equity eligibility + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).

Pay Range:

$154,000—$154,000 CAD
