The OpenAI Platform team builds the foundation that enables every developer, enterprise, and partner to harness OpenAI’s models safely, reliably, and at scale. The team designs and operates systems that power model serving, API access, billing, developer tooling, and enterprise integrations, forming the connective tissue between OpenAI research and real-world products. The Platform team spans product management, infrastructure engineering, developer experience, and data systems and focuses on reliability, scalability, and simplicity.

About the role

Building highly capable agents requires accurate and comprehensive data. This role will help build the data platform and integrations to enable enterprises and developers to automate processes through reliable agents. The team believes a new shape of data tooling must be invented to achieve this.

This position is based in San Francisco, CA, and uses a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week. The company offers relocation assistance to eligible new employees.

Responsibilities

• Shape and build key components of a nascent data platform to enable enterprises and developers to build agents.
• Design and deliver data tools and products that meet the security, accuracy, and flexibility needs of sophisticated enterprise customers.
• Collaborate across product, research, and engineering teams to translate model capability improvements into customer value.
• Work on integrations with enterprise data stacks, developer tooling, API access, model serving, and enterprise integrations.

Requirements

• Deep experience building data platforms and integrations that meet the needs of enterprises and developers.
• Strong technical curiosity and understanding of the enterprise data stack, data integrations, and developer tooling.
• Business sense and the ability to work cross-functionally with research and engineering teams.
