Airbnb is seeking a product leader to drive the transformation of its discovery and merchandising platform for the guest experience. The role is responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end guest journeys that make it effortless for guests to discover the most relevant Homes, Services, Experiences, and new offerings. You will partner closely with design, engineering, and data teams to invent new browsing tools using the latest AI technologies and intuitive UI formats, collaborate with operations and global teams to build merchandising capabilities that support Airbnb’s editorial strategy, and work with marketing to extend merchandising into lifecycle campaigns and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product vision, strategy, and roadmap for merchandising needs across business verticals (Homes, Services, Experiences, International) and new bets (Hotels, Luxe, Partnerships).
  • Develop new discovery and merchandising features that drive guest engagement and bookings growth.
  • Partner with international and merchandising teams to build Airbnb’s first merchandising manager to enable personalization and local relevance at scale.
  • Incorporate the latest AI technologies to uplevel Airbnb’s browsing experience.
  • Collaborate with marketing to extend merchandising strategy into lifecycle and growth marketing campaigns.
  • Craft product narrative and marketing strategies to communicate product benefits internally and externally.
  • Build product roadmaps and align across product teams (Tech, Design), cross-functional partners (FP&A, Marketing, Global Operations, Customer Experience, Trust, etc.), and leadership/executive teams.
  • Inspire teams and stakeholders to support product success and business outcomes.
  • Build deep subject-matter expertise through user research, marketplace data, and competitive analysis.
  • Define goals and measurable objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Execute efficiently to ship products and deliver measurable impact.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience.
  • Experience creating product messaging and delivering to customers and the media.
  • Demonstrated track record of building cross-functional and executive leadership alignment.
  • Experience working on consumer products with marketplace dynamics at global scale.
  • Entrepreneurial track record of taking ideas to reality.
  • Strong ability to use data and perform business analysis to support product strategy and decisions.
  • Excited to drive execution across teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to do individual contributor product management work.

Location & Work Hours

  • This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager.
  • Candidates must live in a U.S. state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity (some states are excluded — “Click here for the up-to-date list of excluded states”).
  • Candidates should be able to work Pacific Time Zone work hours as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay range: $194,000 — $239,000 USD (actual base pay depends on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands).
  • This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
