Product Manager I - Prime Trading

Coinbase’s mission is to increase economic freedom in the world by building the emerging onchain platform and the future global financial system. This role is on the Prime Trading product team and is looking for a goal-oriented, self-motivated senior product manager who thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about crypto and blockchain, has product experience building customer-facing payment products, and understands cards, banks, ACH, and payment networks.

While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment; attendance is expected and supported.

Responsibilities

• Drive the full product lifecycle: strategy, opportunity evaluation, roadmap planning, launch, and post-launch growth.
• Identify new product opportunities leveraging client and market insights.
• Partner with engineering, design, sales, and other partner teams to efficiently deliver impactful new capabilities and features.
• Define and manage metrics to guide product prioritization and measure success.
• Generate excitement around a shared vision and align teams to successfully realize it.
• Clearly articulate plans and progress internally to key partners and executive leadership, and communicate product functionality to clients.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience or relevant domain expertise.
• Proven track record of successfully shipping and iterating on products at scale.
• Exceptional communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.
• Deep analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities; comfortable working with incomplete or ambiguous information.
• Demonstrated leadership in guiding product strategy and leading senior engineers, designers, and cross-functional partners.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment; desire for continuous improvement.
• Strong interest in cryptocurrency, financial markets, and the Coinbase mission.
• Payments knowledge is a strong plus, including experience with cards, banks, ACH, and payment networks.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $140,250—$160,000 USD (target annual salary, depending on work location). Full-time offers also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) where applicable).
