While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.
This is a 12-week internship during summer 2026. You will work on HR Technology initiatives—evaluating AI-powered tools, automating core processes, and strengthening security foundations. This is a high-impact internship where you will ship product work in partnership with HR, IT, and security stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own a product initiative from discovery to launch (e.g., build vs. buy analysis, workflow redesign for security and scalability, driving adoption of new features).
- Apply emerging AI to solve business problems: pilot generative AI agents for HR teams, define and track ROI for AI tools that improve hiring, and contribute to internal AI-powered employee support tools.
- Automate and improve core HR processes: map workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement automated solutions using the team’s tech stack (core HRIS, applicant tracking system, enterprise collaboration platforms).
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (HR, IT, security) to design and deliver tools that improve employee experience.
Requirements
- Deep curiosity for how technology, especially AI, can be used to solve problems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to structure ambiguous problems and propose a clear path forward.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing a project from start to finish.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
Nice to haves
- Experience with APIs or using low-code/no-code platforms to create automated workflows.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering or hands-on experience using LLM-based applications.
- Experience building or working with AI agents or agentic frameworks.
- Understanding of product management concepts or the software development lifecycle.
Compensation
Pay Range: $40 — $40 USD (see Pay Transparency Notice in the original posting). Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility and benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
