Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Our Product Marketing team’s mission is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe’s product strategy, lead go-to-market for our suite of products, and create and execute ambitious marketing campaigns to drive product growth. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Stripe, partnering closely with the integrated marketing team, field marketing, sales, design, communications and product.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Product Marketer that will help us accelerate Stripe’s growth within the SaaS Platforms segment and who will be the product marketing lead for our global campaign targeted at this segment. With a rich understanding of this audience, you’ll build the narratives and messaging for this segment, working with our field marketing and demand generation teams to amplify Stripe’s solutions in the market, empowering our sales team with materials to deliver both inbound and outbound motions.

  • Deeply understand how to scope and execute the marketing strategies needed to reach SaaS platforms and their decision makers: talk regularly to users and prospects and work with our research team for qualitative and quantitative insights that inform your work (content, messaging, positioning, etc)
  • Develop thought leadership to position Stripe as a leader in embedded payments financial services and the acceleration of platform payments and demonstrate how Enterprises can innovate new business models using Stripe’s solutions for platforms.
  • Advocate for our existing and prospective users, be informed about our their challenges and ambitions, and become the go-to expert for your audience area
  • Develop differentiated audience positioning and messaging informed by user research, market insights, and product understanding which will be amplified through integrated marketing campaigns, field events, partners and the Stripe website.
  • Build content for sales teams and marketing teams to activate in the field, including decks, webinars, guides, workshops and email nurture programs.
  • Work closely with a range of cross-functional teams—product managers, sales, design, PR, research and engineering—to develop go-to-market strategy and drive launches for our products
  • Partner with the product and campaign teams to track the right metrics and execute campaigns that drive awareness and adoption on an ongoing basis
  • Think globally as we work to expand our solutions around the world, adapting your understanding of local market needs, competitors, and pricing accordingly

Who you are

  • You have extensive experience in working with SaaS platforms - such as ecommerce platforms, cloud-based business management platforms, hospitality platforms, or customer relationship management platforms - and understand how to best position solutions to their decision makers, influencers, and customers.
  • A storyteller. You have deep empathy for users and are able to adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage your audience—from product leaders to C-suite decision makers—and differentiate Stripe. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Data-oriented. You like working with data and insights and pair that with your passion for users to generate balanced and thoughtful points of view for how to take our products to market
  • Organized. You are able to manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various work streams on track.
  • Passionate about technology. You are keen to learn about how things work and are able to explain technical concepts in ways that everyday people can understand
  • Ambitious. You are eager to make an impact at Stripe. You thrive in a fast-moving environment and working with passionate sales teams, are able to operate fluidly between the 30,000-foot strategy level and the micro-detail to get things right
  • A team player. Product Marketers collaborate across the wider Marketing team, PR, product, sales, comms and basically with every team at Stripe. You are able to work with a range of disciplines to execute on your work
  • Optionally, knowledgeable about payments. You have an understanding of the network of partners and stakeholders in the payments ecosystem, and are excited about telling the story of how Stripe’s solutions are differentiated for the needs of software platforms and their growing appetite for embedded financial services.

Minimum requirements

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience that can span marketing, product marketing, product management, operational roles, or strategy consulting
  • At least 5 years of marketing or go-to-market experience
  • Experience working on marketing or growth throughout a product’s lifecycle
  • Experience working in B2B settings and with sales teams is preferred
  • Experience in payments or financial services is preferred but not required
  • We don’t expect you to have all these things (but the more the merrier!)

Hybrid work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Working remotely at Stripe

A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $143,300 - $214,900. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.

We look forward to hearing from you

At Stripe, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns. At Stripe, we welcome diverse perspectives and people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions. Join us.
