Your Job
You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Mainbank General Ledger & Data Store project (βGLADSβ). This project is a key part of the broader Finance & Risk Compass program. The GLADS program is already progressing well with implementing functionalities and onboarding data sources. Moving forward, the focus will be on completing the functional implementation, finalizing source onboarding, and integrating the General Ledger into the production Business-as-Usual (BaU) processes.
The goal of implementing the Mainbank General Ledger is to provide a future-proof daily ledger capability for the Accounting function. Additionally, it aims to deliver Mainbank data to the target Finance & Risk Data Domain Store (DDS), which is essential for various other Finance & Risk reporting purposes. A strong understanding of the current accounting processes and architecture of Mainbank, as well as the target architecture and operating model, is crucial. Beyond implementing the General Ledger, embedding it into BaU processes according to the target design is also part of this program. A key aspect of this role is connecting with key players, including Accounting, Reporting, data delivery departments, Credit Risk, Change Teams (Grids), IT Functions, and enterprise and domain architects.
The project team is organized into Agile DevOps teams, each led by Product Owners. The total size of this domain is approximately 65 FTE, with 25 in Finance and 40 in IT, divided into about four sub-teams.
Your Work Includes the Following Tasks/Responsibilities
- Development of program plans and detailed implementation plans.
- Facilitate/ chair meetings between project stakeholders to ensure continuous alignment and effective collaboration. With a focus on resolution of challenges and issues to drive progress.
- Monitor progress against project timelines within the various dimensions of the project and act on deviations swiftly.
- Focus on strong delivery execution through professional way of working.
- Track project risks and issues, dependencies on other programs, business-as-usual activities and interdependencies between workstreams.
- Reporting project progress and risks to senior management.
- Stakeholder management between the different change owners.
Working Environment
To maintain and enhance regulatory compliance while supporting strategic Finance and Risk goals, it is crucial to manage associated change activities effectively and efficiently. These changes are overseen through several large-scale programs within the Finance and Credit Risk data value chain, with ultimate responsibility resting on the Finance and Risk business grids. As an Integrator/Project Manager, you will support the Compass & GLADS program by managing one of its sub-clusters. This program is designed to deliver a compliant Finance & Risk data and reporting architecture in line with the Compass Target Operating Model.
Your Profile
- 10+ years of work experience, of which several in regulatory change projects.
- Bachelor/ Masters level education.
- Relevant project management experience preferably in financial institutions.
- Knowledge of financial and accounting processes.
- Proven experienced in stakeholder management, both on senior and lower levels.
- Familiar with working in a regulated environment from a credit risk / finance perspective.
- Professional working proficiency in English is a must; professional working proficiency (especially spoken) in Dutch is strongly preferred.
