Program Manager, Global Risk PMO

Airbnb's Global Risk PMO is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead and implement large-scale, cross-functional programs that advance the strategic goals of the Global Risk organization. You will deliver on planning, readiness, execution, and launch of key projects and programs to achieve measurable risk reduction and business outcomes. This role partners closely with executives, engineering, product, finance, and other stakeholders across Airbnb and requires strong program management discipline, change management, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead complex cross-functional programs simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery while navigating ambiguous situations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across all levels of leadership to drive key programs and projects; influence program strategy aligned to company goals.
• Develop and execute program plans and schedules to achieve strategic and targeted outcomes.
• Anticipate and navigate obstacles; negotiate changes with cross-functional stakeholders from discovery through launch.
• Regularly assess project risks and opportunities; apply best practices and drive process improvements while balancing practical execution.
• Manage change by influencing and communicating with key stakeholders; anticipate risks associated with change management and ensure effective mitigations.
• Facilitate workshops to drive planning cycles and program improvements.
• Assess business and organizational risk to make trade-off recommendations.
• Monitor and measure program outcomes and success criteria.
• Develop domain expertise in specific risk areas and leverage that knowledge to influence program outcomes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of project/program management or similar experience, with a proven track record of quality delivery and program management best practices.
• Experience managing and executing large, complex, cross-functional programs.
• Experience creating detailed project plans and business cases demonstrating measurable impact, progress, and project execution.
• Experience working with engineering and product teams.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal formats up to the executive level.
• Experience forming strong working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including Finance.
• Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively in ambiguous situations and drive productive outcomes.
• Proficiency with project management tools and processes, including Asana, Smartsheets, GSuite, and AirTable (examples provided).
• Formal project certification preferred (e.g., PMI, PMP).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; MBA or Master’s preferred.

Location & Work Policy

• This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager.
• Candidates must live in a U.S. state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity (some states may be excluded).

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay range: $154,000—$191,500 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
