You will work on complex and analytical challenges in the dynamic energy market and help Eneco navigate volatility, risk, and opportunity in the evolving gas market. As a Quantitative Trading Analyst you will support trading activities with advanced quantitative finance models and tools to enable data-driven decisions in a fast-moving and highly strategic environment.

- Work on topics related to forward curves, Monte Carlo simulation engines, quantifying market risk of the trading portfolio, and other quantitative modelling topics.
- Use classical financial mathematics methods and explore machine learning techniques where appropriate.
- Engage in quantitative software development: develop, review and test quantitative tools and drive automation of models and automated trading processes.
- Use and help drive adoption of modern tools such as Azure DevOps, DataBricks, AirFlow, Snowflake and related technologies.

- Experience in the energy markets is welcome but not mandatory.
- Pro-active in exploring new trade ideas and improving existing models and processes.
- Analytical, hands-on and pragmatic approach; ability to stay focused in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift with the market.
Where you’ll work
- Join the Trading Analysis Team: a front-desk analytical team working alongside traders on the trading desk (trading carbon, gas, and power using futures, options and other derivatives across short and long maturities).
- Primary focus on European exchange traded carbon markets (EUA, UKA) while collaborating with colleagues covering power and gas.
- International, high-paced and collaborative environment.
