Information about the position
We are building a Payments organisation that moves billions of funds for second-hand items across our markets, an organisation that helps us scale anywhere in Europe through an ecosystem of payments providers, compliance and regulatory controls, and that ensures the right payment experience along the way.
As part of the Payments business unit, the Finance team is looking for a hands-on experienced individual to join as the Reconciliation Manager. You will play a pivotal role in the regulated payments business, ensuring that we are compliance with users funds safeguarding requirements at scale.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the reconciliation of segregated funds and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in Lithuania, as well as another 2 European jurisdictions in the future. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data Science, compliance and finance teams to ensure safeguarding compliance.
In this position, you’ll
- Manage daily reconciliations of segregated funds to ensure compliance with EMI regulatory requirements in Lithuania, and eventually in the other two European jurisdictions.
- Develop and maintain reconciliation procedures and controls, emphasizing automated processes and controls, to safeguard client funds and ensure their proper segregation.
- Coordinate with relevant internal teams, such as engineering and data science, to resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage cash in user funds, including payments between different segregated accounts, payments to adjust reconciliation discrepancies in segregated accounts, and funds conversion between accounts in different currencies.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on reconciliation activities, highlighting key findings and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the finance and compliance teams to ensure all operations align with relevant legal and regulatory standards.
- Support the EMI’s expansion by contributing to the strategic planning and implementation of reconciliation processes for new markets.
- Ensure the reconciliation team scales up effectively, balancing automated processes and controls development with team expansion.
- Act as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors auditing user funds safeguarding procedures and controls.
- Regular multi-stakeholder management to communicate, escalate and prioritise reconciliation findings.
About you
- Several years of experience in a financial reconciliation role, ideally within an EMI or a similar financial institution.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of regulations related to segregated funds in Lithuania or any other European regulatory frameworks.
- Experience within a payments, investments, FinTech, or technology-driven environment is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience designing effective processes and controls, and collaborating with other teams to implement automated processes.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced modeling, data analysis) and experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI); experience with a payments reconciliation tool is a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken English.

The salary range for this position is € 4,500 - € 6,083 gross per month.
