Responsibilities

  • Enable analysis of large Claude usage datasets while preserving user privacy.
  • Maintain systems for dataset clustering and hierarchy-building.
  • Debug data processing pipelines including concurrency inefficiencies and IPC errors.
  • Implement monitoring systems for large dataset processing tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand needs and prioritize features/fixes.
  • Develop intuitive command-line and frontend interfaces for research tools.
  • Optimize research tools for speed and efficient resource use.
  • Enhance user data privacy and ensure auditable handling.
  • Write and maintain documentation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience in production systems; ML-specific background not required.
  • High proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with data infrastructure and large production datasets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Willingness to work beyond primary responsibilities to advance organizational goals.
  • Commitment to responsible AI development and awareness of societal impacts.

Strongly Preferred Experience

  • High-performance large-scale ML systems and distributed computing.
  • Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • GPU computing and hardware optimization.
