NVIDIA’s robotics Isaac is a fast-progressing effort inside the company and will have a decisive impact on the future of the robotics industry, including on humanoid robots. This internship will focus on investigating approaches to large-scale mobile manipulation problems, including synthetic data generation, sim-to-real transfer, foundation models for mobile-manipulation, and task and motion planning. The anticipated results include deep technical insights, novel implementations, and applications to real robot systems.
Responsibilities
- Implement and test robotic software stacks running machine learning policies to control real robotic hardware (humanoids).
- Collaborate with the team to refine machine learning policies for sim-to-real transfer.
- Improve policies and algorithms related to mobility, loco-manipulation, whole-body control, and dexterous manipulation.
- Learn professional software development methodologies in a commercial environment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience creating and running robotics control software on physical robots.
- Proficiency in Python and C++ programming.
- Familiarity with robot learning tools and libraries (PyTorch, CUDA, middleware, physics simulation).
- Coursework or academic classes in machine learning, control, and robotics systems.
Ways to Stand Out
- Previous internships or hands-on experience with robotic systems.
- Experience with NVIDIA robotics tools (Isaac Lab, Isaac Gym, Isaac ROS) and Jetson hardware.
- Experience with legged or humanoid robots.
- Experience in sim2real deployment on robots.
Compensation and Benefits
- Internship hourly rates range from 18 USD to 71 USD depending on position, location, year in school, degree, and experience.
- Eligible for NVIDIA Intern benefits.
