We seek a Python automation team lead to join our Ethernet Switch SONiC Network OS verification organization. As a SONiC verification team lead at NVIDIA, you will work closely with NVIDIA’s development and architecture teams responsible for SONiC Network OS and gain a deep understanding of NVIDIA products and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Participate in an international team of software engineers working on products for testing NVIDIA products.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks.
- Manage, mentor, and guide a team of automation engineers.
- Design and implement robust, maintainable, and efficient automation test suites.
- Work with continuous integration systems and regression tools: automate builds and test suites, generate test reports, isolate and classify failures, and review new degradations.
- Promote a culture of innovation, quality, and accountability to improve customer perception of SONiC NOS.
Requirements
- B.Sc. degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8+ years overall experience in software development and testing; 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of leading scrums and projects.
- Intrinsic motivation and strong interest in automation programming.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Strong technical abilities: problem-solving, coding, and design skills.
- Ability to lead feature development, take full ownership, and deliver independently.
- General understanding of Linux operating system concepts.
Preferred / Ways to stand out
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Knowledge in networking areas: Ethernet, VLANs, TCP/UDP/IP, QoS, L2-L3 protocols.
- Extensive experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework, PyTest) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range (determined by location and level):
- Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD
- Level 5: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
- Eligible for equity and NVIDIA benefits. (Link to benefits referenced in original posting.)
