We are seeking a versatile and highly technical Product Manager who will help chart a course toward continued excellence in Accelerated Datacenter products. This role touches on deeply technical facets of CPU and GPU deployment (from compiler flags and kernel configurations to energy efficiency and SoC features), while advising on outcomes at the top of the stack via incisive data analysis and concise communication.
Responsibilities
- Understand and supervise performance measurement needs: work with customers, sales, and field teams to identify key established and potential workloads for Accelerated platforms and market segments that need improved competitiveness. Translate those needs into measurable goals and trackers.
- Become an expert on performance comparison: advise performance teams on like-for-like workload comparisons, ensuring methodologies are robust, accurate, and relevant to produce reliable benchmarks.
- Tell the story from Marketing to R&D: collaborate with technical marketing and develop internal reporting content that effectively communicates performance outcomes, tailored to the audience (internal partners, management, or potential clients).
- Understand customers and help them succeed: engage with key customers and engineers to conduct performance and workload studies; work closely with customers to understand needs and provide insights and solutions based on performance data.
- Help the team grow and scale: supervise performance measurement and collection processes; advise on and implement strategies to make these processes scalable and efficient; keep data fresh and current.
- Understand the competitive landscape: monitor competing products and SKUs, model their KPIs, and keep a pulse on silicon, compilers, software, libraries, and performance measurement trends to advise strategy.
- Keep projects running efficiently: prioritize company resources for performance measurement and identify coverage gaps.
- Share knowledge: at the intersection of compilers, tools, silicon, and platform architecture, build detailed technical documentation to address common performance concerns and optimizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of Product Management or product-adjacent supporting experience.
- Organized and methodical: able to define key product metrics, structure and track them, and keep business data up-to-date.
- Strong written and verbal communication: produce clear, concise communication appropriate to various audiences (management briefs, customer stories, deep engineering analysis).
- Proven understanding of software optimization, profiling, and performance analysis.
- Experience engaging with customers for proof-of-concept and pre-sales activities.
- Strong project management skills with an emphasis on scalability and organization.
- Excellent teamwork and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
