Are you curious and passionate about science? Do you want to work with researchers at top universities and help them do their life's work? NVIDIA is seeking a high-energy, strategic, and science-savvy Senior Account Manager, Higher Education & Research to lead our business and relationships with 5–10 key R1 research institutions in the Mid-Atlantic US.

NVIDIA is the engine of AI and accelerated computing, impacting research across many science domains. Our full-stack computing platform encompasses supercomputers, the CUDA programming model, and hundreds of libraries and frameworks that enable breakthroughs. Examples of software and platforms referenced in this role include BioNeMo (structural biology), Parabricks (genomics), Omniverse (3D virtual worlds), RAPIDS (data science), CUDA-Q (quantum computing), and PhysicsNeMo (physics-informed AI in simulation and engineering).

Responsibilities

  • Grow the business: champion organic business growth, forecast revenue, and collaborate with IT and business partners on go-to-market activities.
  • Strategic university leadership engagement: serve as a trusted advisor to university partners, communicating NVIDIA's vision, technology roadmaps, and research impact.
  • Research community partnership: build strong connections with research labs and Principal Investigators across domains (AI/ML, life sciences, physical sciences, climate science, engineering) to understand challenges and explore how NVIDIA's platform accelerates discovery.
  • Strategy execution: collaborate closely with internal NVIDIA teams (Solution Architects, Developer Relations, Product Management, Business Units) and university partners to develop and implement initiatives.
  • Ecosystem enablement & adoption: drive broad awareness, adoption, and impactful utilization of the NVIDIA platform across assigned institutions.
  • Continuous learning: develop a strong understanding of scientific trends in key domains and the capabilities of NVIDIA's technology stack; continually learn and adapt.
  • Travel: ability to travel 20%+ as needed to engage with universities and internal teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in roles involving scientific sales/consulting, research program management, high performance computing leadership, or working within scientific environments.
  • Experience navigating research universities and engaging collaborators from C-level executives to Principal Investigators and IT directors is highly desirable.
  • BS degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree (MS, PhD, or equivalent experience) in a scientific or technical field is a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning; genuine passion for science and technology and for accelerating research.
  • High energy, self-motivation, ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically, communicate vision effectively, and influence stakeholders.
  • Local to the Mid-Atlantic US.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Cash compensation is determined by location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions; 85% paid through base salary and 15% variable compensation.
  • Cash compensation ranges:
    • Level 4: 200,000 USD - 304,750 USD
    • Level 5: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
