Details

Consensys is a leading blockchain and web3 software company building products such as MetaMask, Infura, Linea, Diligence, and Phosphor. The Data team (within the Office of the COO) builds models and frameworks that translate raw data into company-wide KPIs, sitting at the intersection of engineering and analytics to deliver metrics for Finance, Product, and Leadership.

This is a remote-first, full-time role open to candidates in the United States, Canada, LATAM, and EMEA. US-based candidates have a published pay range (see Compensation below). Background checks (employment, education, criminal) are required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain reliable data models that transform raw data into business-ready datasets.
  • Build, optimize, and test dbt models to deliver clean, reliable, and trusted data.
  • Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable metrics, KPIs, and dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain metrics definitions, semantic layers, and data documentation to ensure consistency across teams.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and governance are embedded in models and pipelines.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that empower business users to make data-driven decisions.
  • Write efficient SQL queries and use transformation frameworks to maintain performant models.
  • Partner with data engineers to ensure smooth data ingestion and analytics availability.
  • Continuously improve processes and workflows to increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer (preferred).
  • Experience developing and tracking KPIs for public companies (preferred).
  • Expert-level SQL skills; experience writing complex queries and optimizing performance.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling).
  • Familiarity with BI and dashboarding tools such as Looker, Superset, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Comfort with Python or other scripting languages for lightweight data transformations and automation.
  • Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and documentation tools (examples cited: DataHub, Great Expectations).
  • Understanding of cloud data warehouses (examples cited: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD practices in analytics workflows (example cited: GitHub Actions).
  • Collaborative mindset; ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks (employment, education, criminal) as part of the hiring process.

Compensation

  • US pay range (not including bonus, equity or other benefits): $156,000β€”$187,000 USD. The salary range for US-based candidates will be determined through the interview process depending on experience and skills.
